New Horizon Uranium Corporation is a uranium exploration and development company founded in October 2005.  The company began trading April 17, 2007 on the TSX-V under the symbol NHU-V.

New Horizon is the operator of two joint ventures in Converse County, Wyoming.  The ventures control more than 12,000 acres on the White River Formation.  The Company intends to explore and develop this project area and further investigate if it has potential to be an In-Situ Recovery (“ISR”) operation.  Additional exploration opportunities are being investigated in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Texas.

With its royalty agreement and ownership stake, International Royalty Corporation is a key partner for New Horizon.  New Horizon and International Royalty often collaborate on business opportunities within the uranium industry.  George S. Young, General Council for International Royalty is a New Horizon director, serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.  Dr. David R. Hammond, Vice-President of Strategic Planning for International Royalty also serves as a New Horizon director.

Corporate Team Experience

New Horizon was founded by William R. Wilson, President and Chief Operating Officer, and Paul C. Jones, Executive Vice President, to acquire, explore and develop uranium properties in the United States and in international locations.  New Horizon’s management team and senior outside consultants have over 400 years of experience in the mining industry with 140 years specifically in exploration, development and operation of uranium projects.

Joint Ventures

In January 2006, New Horizon signed an earn-in agreement with Canyon Resources Corporation forming the Converse Uranium Joint Venture.  The project focuses on the White River Formation in Converse County, Wyoming.  New Horizon is the operator for exploration, development and management of the Joint Venture, and as such, will earn a 50 percent ownership in the venture subject to an initial expenditure of US$ 1 million within the first three years.  With investments totaling US$ 2 million over the first five years New Horizon will earn a 70 percent interest in the project.  An additional five-percent may be earned by New Horizon funding the completion of a feasibility study.

In August 2006, the Converse JV partners formed a second joint venture with High Plains Uranium Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Energy Metals Corporation.  This venture covers four townships within the Converse Uranium JV area of interest and is known as the Sand Creek Joint Venture.  High Plains earned a 30% interest by vending in certain properties with the Converse partners owning the remaining 70% interest.  New Horizon is the operator of the Sand Creek Joint Venture.

Other Properties

Based on historic drilling information, New Horizon is leasing surface and mineral rights and locating mining claims in and around San Miguel County, Colorado and San Juan County, Utah.  During 2008, the company anticipates increasing its land ownership and drilling confirmation and step-out holes on acreage it controls.

In addition to projects currently underway in Wyoming and Colorado, New Horizon is continually investigating new opportunities in New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Texas and abroad.
